A team of TSU scientists led by the Russian Academy of Sciences corresponding member Anna Dybo has received a so-called mega-grant from the Russian Ministry of Education to conduct research into languages and cultures of Southern Siberia.
From September 12 to September 20, a socio-anthropological marathon – we could call it without exaggeration – took place at TSU that embraced a number of educational, scientific, and cultural events.
In the framework of Greece and Russia’s Joint Year 2016, an international conference, titled ‘The Influence of Hellenism on Conte,porary Science, Culture, and Education’ has started at TSU. Among its organizers are Tomsk Pedagogical State University, Tomsk State University, Institute of Philosophy (Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow), and the Olympic Centre for Philosophy and Culture.
During the I Tomsk Anthropological Forum that is to start on September 15, 2016, a series of public lectures will be given by scholars from both Russia and abroad. Thematically, all of the lectures will cover most pressing anthropological research issues.
Next Thursday, September 15, First Tomsk Anthropological Forum (TAF–2016) will welcome its participants at Tomsk State University. The Forum is to be launched as a platform for broad and open discussion and intellectual exchange on current theoretical and practical issues of social anthropology.
