On October 7th, 2015, the discussion club ‘Interreligious Dialogue’ held a meeting themed ‘Ecumenism in modern society: aims and possibilities’ took place at Tomsk State University with the participation of Martin Tamcke, Professor of the University of Goettingen (Germany).

On October 7th, 2015, a public lecture of Martin Tamcke themed ‘The Western-Eastern Identity? An example of Henry von Heiseler’ was given at TSU. On October 8th, a presentation and discussion of his book ‘Tolstoy’s Religion: a Spiritual Biography’ took place at the TSU Research Library Small Conference Hall.
1.10.15 Music knows no borders
How musical is man, what is it that makes people musical, what is music and musicality, who creates, performs and listens to music, how music relates to culture and society, and how all this can be studied – these are the questions raised and explored by ethnomusicology – an area of anthropological knowledge which everyone interested had a chance to get to know better during the open seminar ‘Introduction to the anthropology of music’ held at Tomsk State University from 16 to 21 September.

25.07.15 Science as a form of life: a summer school on the anthropology of science and big technical systems in Bulgaria
From June 22nd to July 1st, 2015, a summer school ‘The anthropology of science and big technical systems: identity of scientists and engineers’, organized by the Department of Applied and Institutional Sociology (Plovdiv University n.a. Paisius of Hilendar) with support from the European Association for the Study of Science and Technology (EASST) and the TSU Laboratory for Social and Anthropological Research (LSAR), was held in Bulgaria. Twelve students – LSAR assistants – took part in this event which over its 15-year history has for the first time become international.
