On October 10-16, 2014, the Laboratory for Social and Anthropological Research hosted open lectures given by Professor Peter Finke, Co-Director of Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology (University of Zurich, Switzerland).

On September 25-27, 2014, a research conference ‘Korean Diaspora and the Issue of Korean Identity Preservation’, associated with the 150th Anniversary since the start of the Korean voluntary settlement to Russia, was successfully carried out at Tomsk State University.   

Due to a number of changes made to the conference programme, there is a revised version of it now available on the LSAR website for your information. The conference ‘Man in a Changing World. Identity and Social Adaptation: Past and Present. Methodology, Methods and Practices of Research’ will take place at Tomsk State University on October 14-15, 2014.

On September 17-20, the first international science and practice-oriented conference ‘Science of the future’ was held in Saint Petersburg, organized by the Ministry of Science and Education of Russia. Researchers from Russian universities and research organizations told about the results of their research activities with regard to implementing projects run at their respective institutions and headed by leading world scholars.

The programme and abstracts of presentations for the conference ‘Man in a Changing World. Identity and Social Adaptation: Past and Present. Methodology, Methods and Practices of Research’ are ready to be published. The conference organized by the TSU Laboratory for Social and Anthropological Research will be conducted at Tomsk State University on October 14-15, 2014.
