The formation (construction) of Siberian identity (the second half of XIX – the beginning of XX century, the end of XX – the beginning of XXI century)
The research is carried out into:
- the role of Siberian regionalism in the formation/construction of Siberian identity (the second half of XIX – the beginning of XX century);
- the historical experience of developing and conducting regional identity policy by liberals of Siberia at the beginning of the XX century;
- the political mobilization of national (ethnic) and regional (Siberian) identity in the East of Russia in the context of changing political regimes (1917 – 1922);
- the periodical press of Siberia in the second half of XIX – the beginning of XX century as a factor of regional identity formation;
- causes of and prerequisites for the issue of regional Siberian identity becoming topical in the 1980s-1990s;
- the ideology and practice of interregional interaction as a factor of Siberian identity formation in the 1990s (through the example of interregional association “Siberian Accord”;
- factors and actors contributing to the Siberian identity issue becoming topical in the beginning of the XXI century as a political construct.
