National identity in the social thought of Russia in the second half of the XIX century

The research is carried out into:

• perceptions of national identity among different lines of Russia’s social thought in the second half of the XIX century;
• the relationship of ethnic, religious and civic identity in Russia’s social thought in the second half of the XIX century;
• the development of critical national markers and identifiers and their transformation in the social thought of Russia;
• the impact of the European intellectual tradition on the idea of Russian national identity;
• the role of Russian national identity in interethnic relations of the Russian Empire in the second half of the XIX century.
