Third International STS Summer School
TSU Laboratory for Social and Anthropological Research, TSU Laboratory of Biogeochemical and Remote Monitoring Methods, and Bio-Clim-Land Centre of Excellence together with Scientific Research Institute of Biology and Biophysics and Policy Analysis and Studies of Technology Centre (PAST-Centre) are pleased to invite master students, doctoral, and postdoctoral researchers to take part in the 3rd International STS Summer School ‘Anthropology of Science and Modern Forms of Life: Camera Ethnography as an Approach to Studying Laboratory Practices’.
The school aims to introduce students and researchers to the universum of modern techno-science and its everyday realities as well as to major theoretical concepts and methodologies of field research on scientific laboratories, technological companies, and big technical systems.
The school will be held at Tomsk State University and its scientific research station situated in Kaybasovo (Tomsk region) from June 30 to July 7, 2017.
Applications should include:
- Form 1, filled out
- Motivation letter written in either Russian or English (max. 1000 words)
- CV in either Russian or English, including a list of publications (if your list is in Russian, please provide an additional one, transliterated in English)
- An essay about your future research plans (one page A4).
Deadline for applications is January 30, 2017.
