Research school-workshop ‘Migration and ethnicization of the urban space’

The second stage of the competitive selection for participation in the research school-workshop ‘Migration and ethnicization of the urban space’, to be held by the Laboratory for social and anthropological research (Tomsk State University) in collaboration with the Laboratory of historical and political demography (Irkutsk State University) and Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Russia on June 17-20, 2015, has started.

The school-workshop will be attended by scholars from Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Tomsk, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, as well as by researchers from Germany, Poland, and Kazakhstan. Here, expert presentations are expected to be made and discussed along with papers presented by other participants, individual expert consultations will be given to participants, and group and expert editing of papers is also planned to take place.

Following the event, expert papers as well as most qualitative papers by participants will be published in the journal ‘TSU Bulletin. History’.

To partake, please e-mail your papers to namirina@bk.ru, vikdyatlov@yandex.ru, grigoritchev@yandex.ru no later than on May 25, 2015. Ultimately, there will be 15 papers selected, authors of which will be able to participate in the school-workshop in-person and their expenses related to the participation will be covered by the organizers.
