Scientific workshop ‘Migration and ethnicization of urban space’
June 18-21, 2015, the TSU Laboratory for Social and Anthropological Research jointly with the Laboratory of Historical and Political Demography (Irkutsk State University) and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation will carry out a scientific workshop ‘Migration and ethnicization of urban space’.
The workshop will gather Russian scholars from Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Tomsk, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, as well as from Germany, Poland and Kazakhstan. The workshop will include expert reports and discussion; workshop participants will also be able to present and will receive individual feedback from experts as well as collective and expert advice as to the editing of their texts.
Researchers aged up to 35 studying the impact of migration on urban space are welcome to apply. Papers to be presented at the workshop will be selected on a competitive basis.
