Vyacheslav V. Shevtsov defended his postdoctoral dissertation
On June 6, 2014, Associate Professor of TSU Department of Russian National History, LSAR Senior Research Fellow Vyacheslav V. Shevtsov defended his postdoctoral dissertation entitled ‘The formation and development of the official provincial press in Siberia in the second half of the 19th to the early 20th centuries’. The author had worked on this topic for 10 years. This is the first of its kind in the national historiography comprehensive study of the history of government periodicals during the aforementioned period, concerning various aspects of its existence and development trends in the four major provinces of the Asian part of Russia.
