Identification strategies, adaptation practices and ways of constructing identity of social, ethnic and religious groups in the urban and rural space

The research is carried out into:

identification strategies, adaptation tactics and practices of migrants (with the focus on labour and educational migration);
patterns and roles of “traditional culture” in sustaining collective and individual identity in the urban and rural space;
multiplicity of identifications, ways of constructing them and related conflicts at the intersection of state borders (Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia, China) and local communities
traditional shamanism of the peoples of Siberia: from the first cultural identification experience to the complex system of adaptation mechanisms of culture;
identification strategies in Russian secondary school history education;
ethnohistorical myths in modern Russia in the context of searching for national and cultural identity.
